A Bit Heath Robinson

William Heath Robinson (31 May 1872 – 13 September 1944) was an English cartoonist and illustrator best known for drawings of ridiculously complicated machines for achieving simple objectives.
In the UK, the term "Heath Robinson" entered the popular language during the 1914–1918 First World War as a description of any unnecessarily complex and implausible contrivance.
He lived in Pinner, just down the road from the park where we went today.  There's a Heath Robinson museum here now and this artwork greets folk as they enter the park.

Nice day with my Mum, mostly just being together.  Some of Jamie's cousins came round for tea.  Doesn't seem long since they were toddlers chasing around, now one at Oxford, one at Durham and one off to Cardiff Uni this autumn.  Still great company and it was good to catch up with them and their parents.
