Philadelphus (Mock Orange)

My father brought a cutting of this philadelphus from our home and it has grown here since when I got married.

This year the philadelphus has been a victim of the weather. I decided to cut it down to half it's height in the hope that it will recover next year. I was surprised to find lots of dead wood during the pruning.

The birds were most upset that their feeders were moved for most of the day but after work had finished it took them no time to return.
