Brunch......

......of eggy-chivey-crumpets.....but I didn't eat them all at once, honest! I accidentally invented them many years ago (it was one of those 'dammit, I've run out of bread and the shops are closed'  scenarios) They're SO much better than your standard 'French Toast'  because the crumpets can slurp up more eggy goodness if you squish them a bit (1 large egg will only 'do' 2 crumpets) Delicious with smoked bacon and a dollop of ketchup.....or grated cheese and chutney.....I know because I had one of each.....
