Cultural Blip Point of Interest: The Three Sisters

Blipfoto is running a challenge to show what we would show our out of town guests.

Blackheath Blippers have plenty of practice at doing this and there is no shortage of things to show off in our beautiful Blue Mountains.

By far the most famous (not necessarily the best) is the Three Sisters at Katoomba. 
I know Pauline P has already blipped this but hers is a close up of these three rock formations so I'm showing the bigger picture.

There are various legends (involving witch-doctors, bunyips, lyre birds and thwarted love) describing why these three aboriginal girls were turned to stone. Google them if you'd like to know more.
