Pocket Money...

We've somewhat considered the pocket money subject in the past but this week we embraced a version of it properly. We've not actually spoken to many others about this subject so didn't have much idea of how others do it.

We've constructed a list of small tasks to be done throughout the week. Things like tidying rooms, setting the table, feeing the cat, all recorded with ticks on a chart. Nothing too taxing but a bit of responsibility.

In return we worked out that 5p per task and thus tick on the chart gives an amount that can produce a modest sum for the week that could quite easily be frivously spent straight or away on some nick nak or alternatively saved to go toward something of more substance a few weeks down the line. Bethany accrued the handsome sum of £1.55 whilst Ewan managed £1.35.

They both were convinced of the benefits of saving the money for later but the weekly shop run presented rumbling of earlier cashing in.
