Amethyst Deceiver
Another morning of fixed point photography on the reserve. There are huge numbers of fungi appearing in the woodland sections. I find it difficult to retain the names of many fungi in my head from one season to another and have to resort to my reference books. One of the few that I don't need to look up is the amethyst deceiver (laccaria amethystina) - such a striking colour.
