DIY Panic Alert

Our visitor left today; delivered to the station in time for her train back to the Wild and Wooly Northlands (aka Lancashire). After we returned home the tidying up and washing began, and all towels and bedding have now been washed, dried and (where appropriate) ironed. In the midst of all this activity I was rather concerned to see these items arrive in the kitchen. Did this mean an extended period of painting and decorating was expected of me? Thankfully, I was reassured that was not the case. Cupboards had been emptied and these tins which had been kept 'just in case' had been brought down with a view to potential removal to the tip.

I've not been allowed to put them in the car just yet, but I'm working on it.
