Emergency Blip
For the past few days, whilst occupied with a new puppy and photographing a few other things, like St Pauls Cathedral, I have been finalising the images I will present in October for the RPS Associate Distinction. It's been an interesting journey and, whatever the outcome, I have come a million miles in my photography. It is hard to explain, but constantly being challenged to produce better work has been both exasperating and satisfying.
To do a Distinction fir the RPS is a long and challenging journey, consuming more hours than you would dream possible. Looking at the selection I have now in front of me, they bear no resemblance to the initial 15 I proudly selected.
The next challenge is to get them successfully printed...! I'll try home printing in the next few days. My actual assessment day is mid October, but Tempis fugit so I need to keep moving.
I'm in London again tomorrow and Sunday for a course held at the National Portrait Gallery on Street Photography. This will be challenging in a different way.
