Wooden!

What this is a chassis for. It's certainly very old but in reasonable condition. What may not be clear from the photo is that the spoked wheels are.....wooden!
It was lying to one side of the track in the local clay shooting ground where we went this morning for some practice. Not a farm trailer by the shape we were sure and the curved rear section indicated a boot perhaps and the front rails suggested an engine along with mountings on the side for a handbrake and body fixings?
A great ground and we both managed to shoot grouse on that stand so we did celebrate the Glorious 12th without shedding any blood!
