I don't think it appreciated me invading its private nut-hunting time. Again.

In other news, the adult pigeon has abandoned the nest =( We thought this morning that the second baby had died too and after a whole morning of Mum shuffling and being fidgety, she finally deserted while we ate lunch.

Maybe next year =(

Nick's dad has given us a Jessops DGII 2X C-AF as he's treated himself to two new lenses for his Canon, so this shot was sing that on top of the 75 - 300mm. The weight is totally different now so I really struggled to keep a steady hand, hence the bad quality! Also noticed that the aperture goes no lower than 11 so I need to practise fiddling with the ISO and shutter speed without a tripod.... I apologise for the next few weeks as the quality will be awful, but I want to practise ready for when the goldfinches arrive back on the tree as they ae perfect models!
