Gravel pit meadow again

Having done my Saturday chores and as the sun was peeping through I thought I’d pop to that gravel pit to see what was around. I don’t know what has happened as large areas of the meadow seem to have been trampled – not sure if it’s human, dog or deer activity. There were still a few common blues about and some moths I don’t know and then there were a few red flashes. I paused at one of the bird viewing spots and sure enough there was today’s blip and from what I could see, a common darter dragonfly.
