Ben Macdui
We walked up Ben Macdui today - the blip is Sarah on the summit.
At 1,309m (4,295ft if you're an old duffer) it's the second highest hill in the UK though starting from the Coire Cas car park (c.650m) as we did, it feels like a relatively gentle stroll as opposed to a big hill day.
What a super day though! The Cairngorm Plateau feels very friendly in bright September sunshine so we pushed on and did a quick 'tick' of Cairn Gorm itself for good measure.
We even popped into the Ptarmigan Cafe with the (even greater) masses for a hot chocolate and a look in the c**p gift shot. Don't think I'll be going back.
