The Crown
The Crown range is the highest sealed road in NZ and if you are in Wanaka and have a plane to catch in Queenstown it’s the shortest way from here to there…BUT…
During Winter it can be a delicious trap for the unwary and can go from a careful drive to chains essential in a very short time and the Bossess’s advice is the same one about opening emails that are odd. “If in doubt…don’t”
‘Cos putting chains on and off again is a great way to get very cold, wet, muddy and LATE. AND worse is meeting a tourist in a campervan that has lost it completely on ice (having completely ignored the warning signs) and is now skewed across the road in a cold sweat and blocking it..
So we went the long way this morning and The Boss and ME came back over the top as this was not time dependant.
Arriving at the top, the cloud dispersed long enough for The Boss to carefully step outside and get this image. The extra was obtained by the HWOHWTOOTSW method while in motion. Not my favourite method and NOT recommended by the Royal Society for the observance of Dog Safety.
Both were fruitphone shots.
Pawscript… First H = hold. Barks for successful guesses…
