This Old House

The original part of this house, where we're staying for a few days, was built in 1842, and it's beautiful. All the millwork is walnut. The alternating strips of lighter wood in the floor look like a mixture of pine, ash, and/or oak. The craftsmanship is excellent, and I can't stop fondling the wood.

After the hectic activities of yesterday, I'm enjoying just relaxing around the house. It's a beautiful sunny day, but I haven't ventured beyond the porch. Tomorrow will probably be different.
