Mushrooms?

One of our neighbours told me that there were mushrooms in the garden. I thought it was unlikely,so I investigated. The photo shows what I saw. Clearly NOT mushrooms. It didn't take much more examination to identify them as Meadow Puffballs.( Lycoperdon pratense ).
