A slice of Lesley's life

Leaving on a jet plane

Obviously that isn't ours but I'm guessing we are going to look much the same. We are currently sitting on the tarmac whilst they do piloty stuff.

And I am assured it is a jet plane despite being tiny*. Perfectly to scale though with tiny City Airport which is so sleepy on a Sunday morning the security doesn't even open until 11.15am. Which we were here before due to a surprisingly nippy journey across town - 1hr and 15mins from home to security including check-in. Once I get used to the Lilliput feeling it may be worth considering as a regular airport.

About to take off so here we go...

¡Hasta pronto!

*just to wind Carl up. It is, of course, not tiny. Just feels like it.

EDIT: I probably wouldn't have changed the shot but we did get an amazing view as we flew over the Thames Barrier which I got quite excited about. It's so beautiful - like a row of mini Guggenheims and it's the first time I've seen it in real life.

EDIT II: So nice to have the band back together. Missing the Bez of our group of course. Though we celebrated with Scrabble, Exploding Kittens and Hearts, none of which are really her forte.
