Markets of vanity
Exploring desolated countryside villages with our photo collective today and this old vinyl single was in the window of one abandoned shop. I think in those premises there has been a flea market at the latest. That made me think about consumption mania humankind is suffering. Most of the goods we buy will be useless for us sooner or later, so maybe we shall consider more of our personal needs? Of course there is then another side...if we don't buy some other people will then loose their jobs.
It's also sad to see how countryside villages have been desolated slowly during decades, when young people have moved to big cities where most of jobs are. Most of those villages are suffering lack of services nowdays, due of decreasing amount of people living there.
However, due of techincal data network infrastucture develpoment, there has been returning migration as well past few years, but that's only small amount of people whom can do their jobs remotely and are finding quality of life in the countryside more pleasant than in cities...and of course houses are also much more cheaper outside of cities.
Maybe we still have hope?
