Not yet ready to be independent

My phone had been charging in my locker at work yesterday, but when I finished my shift, I brought home the power bank and somehow managed to leave my phone behind. As I have an extra day off tomorrow and don't have to go to work again until Wednesday, I decided to go and collect my phone this morning because I didn't want to be without it for that long.

When I arrived at the bus stop, I could hear the very distinctive peeps of a young Great Crested Grebe and eventually managed to spot an adult and a chick. Fortunately, I had just enough time for a photo before the bus would arrive.

My boss was surprised to see me when I came into work until I explained why I was there. After collecting my phone from my locker, I didn't go home immediately but I stopped at the flowers market at the town centre where I couldn't resist buying two orchids and I also treated myself to a meal out before heading back to the apartment.
