Men at Work...or not!

After yesterday's deluge we had a lovely bright sunny morning so i went for a walk to inspect the work which is currently going on with our local Metro light rail system. They've closed our bit of the line for about 6 weeks in total, not only to replace some of the track but also to replace a bridge over a road (Killingworth Road). Seemingly the old bridge was Victorian and was in a bad state, so it's being replaced and they're taking the opportunity to make the new one wider.

I took photos of both aspects of the work but my Editor & I liked this one best. Lots of sitting around I see - although I'm sure(?) those men had been working hard earlier in the morning and needed a rest...   ;-))
