All smiles
I had a rather spectacular slip and fall at a garden center yesterday, but miraculously escaped unscathed. I was quite sore last night, much less so today.
We were at Kennedy's garden Center in Scituate, not far from home, casually walking to see a specific plant we plan to use in our upcoming garden rehab. The plant specialist, T and I were parallel to the displayed plant material, all laid out in pots on landscape cloth. As we were walking along, a car was coming toward us with a woman planning I guess, to park right where we were walking. That was actually rather unbelievable and unnecessary since we were the only people shopping and there were many other spots to available to park. The woman called out that she was going to be coming behind us, so we all sped up to get onto the landscape cloth and out of her way. The cloth was wet and slippery with an uphill edge and I nipped up quickly with one foot very close, too close to a big cement urn. I guess it was really very slippery in that spot and before I knew what was happening both feet slipped out from under me and flew up in the air, my arms were flailing and I came down hard on my arse, just missing hitting my head on that big cement urn. Somehow, I didn't break a hip, a wrist, or my head. The plant specialist was furious with the woman in the car and another worker came rushing to help me up. My pride was hurt as much as my body. T was a wreck, but luck was with me and I smiled like this stone when I realized I was still in one piece and able to move.
For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny and I was sore, mostly my right shoulder but less so that last night.
All hands sickened by the events in Virginia and 45's response.
