How far have we come? (MM186)
Working on a few images for our camera club's www site and I thought this image of the shutter & film speed controls on Gill's 1982 Pentax MX nicely illustrate how far photography has come in my adult lifetime ...
It was set like this when I took it out of the loft ... ASA (ISO) 64, probably Kodachrome 64 slide film was the last thing it was used for?
Get it right in camera ... only ~36 shots per roll of film, 400 asa was fast, tell that to kids today ... and they won't believe you :-)
Sorry - couldn't resist that!
