You know you're on a good thing when you wonder whether you should write a review for Tripadvisor for fear that next time you want to book into the restaurant there will be no room at the Inn.  Well that's the way Blippy and I feel about the Wombat Hollow Cafe.  For a few months now we've been frequenting this unique and generous establishment.  Although it tends to be a self serve situation this suits us because we usually feel peckish after closing hours.  We're constantly amazed at the variety of Australian native plants on the menu and last night we were treated to an exquisite Western Australian dish known as Geraldton Wax.  It was truly melt in the mouth and we devoured every single morsel of this scrumptious plant, only leaving the skeleton on the plate. (see attached image).  Although the Maitre d' is obviously on the ball, we haven't actually seen her yet so we presume she could be a little shy. As for the chef well that's another story.  We have spotted her from time to time sneaking around in the bushes with a large black cooking utensil.

We can highly recommend this wonderful cafe and can't wait to see what's next on the menu.  Overall it's a spectacular smorgasbord of gourmet delights.
