Weedy stripes

The path from the lych gate to our church has weedy stripes, probably not part of the original design! I think they carry the eye along the path. I went to the church for my blip because there is a mixed border at the foot of the old flint walls, but there was little colour today.
I heard today that Big Ben is to be silenced for four years. I don't often hear it on the radio, but I don't like the idea of it not being there. When we lived in Kenya we used to hear Big Ben at the beginning of the BBC News and it made us quite homesick! Iconic sound.
