The Old Forge (Monday 14th August 2017)

I didn't travel far today but had a much better night's sleep and got a fair amount done, including some work in the outbuilding workshop. As it is as yet undecorated and everything in it will have to come out again to be plastered in a week's time I have tried not to move too much stuff out there, but inevitably it has begun to fill up. This giant anglepoise matches one in the kitchen and was bought at the same time on a 2-for-1 deal.

I did some repairs to the workshop table and installed wi-fi and a charging cable for my iPad. Since the last blip I have also added a DAB radio and a heater and have stored a few items there after the door became lockable.

The Walker Brothers - Archangel (1966)
I had never heard this striking early Scott Engel (Scott Walker) composition until I played a 2CD compilation of Walker Brothers records that arrived on this day. Although an A-side in Japan it was otherwise buried on the B-side of Deadlier Than The Male (from the film of the same name) and not included on an LP.
