Great Crested Grebe.

After a wet morning, it dried up a bit this afternoon and we slipped out and away to Linlithgow. The grebe chicks are growing apace and now match their parents in size but still wear their "baby clothes". This adult posed nicely and not too far out from the bank.
The rain started as we returned home and has not yet let up.
I begin to fear we may have had out summer!
