Freddie update - the first week was hard for all of us. Freddie was miserable and sick and missing home. The airbnb turned out to be quite different than it was billed and is dirty and unhomely with no oven, no shower, mice etc ... so living there has been uncomfortable for them.  
Other things went wrong, they had a very low point and decided to come home. But then, as if that took the pressure off, things picked up and they started to have fun. The second week was much better than the first and culminated today in finding and agreeing to a house-share with another single mum and little boy, in central Brighton which is just where they wanted to be. 
That starts in mid-September so they're coming home tomorrow to spend three weeks with us first. 
I so cant wait to see them !!!
