Home in Montana
T and I took the week to visit our home of 8 years -- Bozeman, Montana. We've been quite busy visiting friends and doing all the things you do when you visit a place you've lived for quite some time. Tonight we took a hike after supper of about 4 miles up Cottonwood Canyon but the light was pretty flat. On the way back we got this nice view of sunset clouds marching towards the Bridger Mountains.
The entire Pacific Northwest (from our home in Walla Walla to here in Montana) has been swathed in smoke from fires in British Columbia, Canada, for weeks. The drive over, usually lovely, was not so nice. Rather like driving inside of endless dirty fog, with little visibility of the fantastics terrain. However, rain last night and this morning cleared the air quite a bit and it was truly so nice.
