Sampan

This was the only way to cross the river some 20 years ago.
Carrying some 10 passengers and with their luggages etc; including bicycle, chicken and etc. One way fare was 15cent.

Today, this sampan is mainly a tourist attraction and used occasionally by the local.  Accessibility to the other side was made easy with several bridges nearby and pedestrian crossing due next completion next year.
