New toy!

Not really a toy - a useful mode of transport around the village and a means of getting more exercise. I have had a bike for years but lately got out of the habit of using it. When I decided to use it again I found I was out of practice and my legs not what they used to be!  So I got this - an electric bike!  I can still pedal it just like an ordinary bike but when I start to flag a bit can use the electric motor to help me out. The battery is cunningly concealed on the carrier under the panniers. There were  panniers and a basket included but I didn't like their panniers and when I said I would use my own the salesman immediately offered me a bike cover instead of the panniers.
Yesterday's Blip was my cycle rack - the gent had never seen one like that before and was doubtful the bike would fit on it - but it did - as you can see in the extra pic and all arrived safely home.
(The bike did not hang over the side of the car as much as suggested by the angle of the shot - just about 4 inches of the front wheel)
