Charlotte Square

Our first full day at the festival started with a water aerobics session at the local swimming pool. This was followed by a visit from an old friend. It was so nice to see her. Then we had our first book festival event in Charlotte Square. This is shown in the photo. Alexander McCall Smith was talking about his many new books. We also heard about his latest project: No 1 Ladies Detective Agency the musical.
He was in good form with many amusing anecdotes.
This was followed by a meeting with my cousin and his wife and a good catch up.

Our next event was a book event from Judy Murray who has written about all her work encouraging tennis in Scotland. Lots of amusing anecdotes, including some on her experience on Strictly! Very good session
Our final event was a Fringe event from Jan Ravens. She did a wide variety of characters, including Donald Trump. She was very entertaining!
We then had a late supper prepared by Mr P. And very good it was too. Looking forward to events on Wednesday!
