Balmashanner Hill

Today I had the desire to be up high. Strange I know but it was such a lovely day with clear, crisp light that I thought being high up with great views would be the place to be. So we headed through to Forfar to take the dogs a walk up Balmashanner Hill. We've never been there before and it was a lovely walk with amazing views across the town to the Vale of Strathmore to the west and Braes of Angus to the north. We walked through the delightful Reid Park and then on up the hill to the war memorial at its summit before heading back down towards the town again. A great, shortish walk with wonderful views - a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with C and the dogs.
