Porthdinllaen
I had an appointment at the hairdresser’s at 9.30am. The girls were still in bed when I left. When I got there, I asked if they could fit Bibi in sometime for highlights and they said they could fit her in at 10am today. I called her and she was there on time. Penny came to meet me there and we went to Nain and Taid’s after. Bibi’s hair took much longer and we went back to meet her afterwards. On the way, we popped into the charity shop and bought crockery for Jack to take to his new house in Bath. Last night, Anne, Karen and I had agreed that we would go for a walk this afternoon and take afternoon tea with us. Karen would make cucumber sandwiches and Anne would bring scones with clotted cream and tea. We knew that it was going to rain later on but the forecast was for rain very late in the afternoon. We’d planned to leave at 1:30pm but Jini got her paw stuck under the door. It was really windy and both doors were open as we were planning to leave and the internal door slammed on her paw and Penny had to help her get hew paw out. . She screamed so loud. We finally set off at 2pm and it started to rain then. By the time we got to Porthdinllaen, it was raining quite a lot and it was very, very windy. We had to shelter to eat our sandwiches and we decided that we would go back to Karen’s to have our scones and clotted cream. It was far too wet on the beach and by this point, we were all soaked. We stopped off at home first to get changed into dry clothes. In the evening, Richard and Rhodri came round and we went to the chippie and ate them here.
