Alone! deep in thought
Hands deep in pockets
On a bridge over the deep river.
A deep person, family grown up
Widowed some years past
Who now can lighten his life?
A character full of depth, but of
cheery disposition.
Eyes failing, can no longer drive.
This small excursion to a place
once visited in livelier times
made him happy - even if it was
for a moment to be lost in his own deep thoughts!

I like it when you can do something nice for a person
