The long view

I was at a very enjoyable (work) course in Glasgow Uni library on Wednesday.

After it had finished, I took the chance to have a wander around the place and transport myself back to the early 90's.

Things have changed around a bit, but it gladdened my heart to see students immersed in their reading and studying, and it was a stark contrast to my own place of work to be struck by the complete quiet of the upper reading floors.

In fact, I half expected to be challenged for having one very squeaky shoe, and the audible slosh of my water bottle in my bag...
