Man with no Heart
On one of my walk routes there is a house whose owner is a sculptor. Over the years that I've walked past this house I've been fascinated to watch the projects develop and multiply in and around the garden. Even some of the plants get sculpted too. The main image strikes me as taking inspiration (art is so often influenced by other art) from the Ned Kelly paintings by Sidney Nolan. The one in the extra reminds me of the body shapes of the Terracotta Warriors.
I only noticed when looking at the image on the computer that at the base of the sculpture in the main photo the large rock by the base of the sculpture looks like a giant frog with its mouth open. Whether by accident or design I don't know.
