Pink Floyd
The Pink Floyd exhibition at the V&A is a sound and vision joy.
Visitors wear headsets through which music is played, along with the audio feed from the many screens dotted about the displays. The screens show interviews with band members and other key individuals, plus concert footage.
Meanwhile, there are all kinds of exhibits to view - from countless concert-battered guitars to personal jottings in Sixties diaries.
A highlight for me was hearing Dave Gilmour et al describe the creative process in several of the filmed interviews. Hearing how people's artistic cogs turn is endlessly fascinating.
It was a particular treat to hear Storm Thorgerson, the photographer responsible for many of the iconic images associated with Floyd, talk about his work.
I had no idea the chap in the 'burning man' photo was in such personal danger and had to call a halt when flames started licking at his face. Oops! Not sure 21st century health and safety rules would tolerate that approch to creativity!
