We broke the back of it this afternoon...

...and now we're enjoying a well-deserved gin & nibbles...
The pallet was delivered too late yesterday to make a start, and then Roy discovered the tyre on the wheelbarrow had exploded anyway! New tyre purchased this morning, then 6 bags of sand and cement to the shed at the top of the garden for storage, 6 bags of pebbles across the road & a path created for Muriel, and 10 bags of pebbles barrowed up the garden to surface a path Roy had created by the hedge. A short shower stopped play at about 3.30 - which was lucky as we needed a cuppa by then - and after it passed we worked solidly til 5.30 to finish the path. Only 9 bags to barrow tomorrow, in between the forecast showers... 
It reminded me of when we first moved in , and built two raised beds as we dug out to create a patio... but we were younger then ;) 
Sooooo - the abstract is of the new wheelbarrow wheel doing its best - though the barrow itself is getting rather rusty...
