Warm Work on the Footplate

Spent most of the day chiselling out ancient putty, which had set like cement, and removing a broken pane of glass. The pigeon who caused the damage when it came down the chimney was not in my good books! Glad it is now replaced.

Then out for a walk with Jet. Timed it right for the arrival of a train. It was very busy but I quite liked this view of stoking the fire before it left. Not the best of jobs on a warm day.
