Looking back

Looking back along the Crinan Canal towards home, I don't really like crocosmia (Monbretia) as a plant but it adds some colour here.

A working day but a lovely walk through the village and along the canal this evening. It was raining a little but that didn't stop the kids from swimming at the lock gates (see extra) or a bunch of young boys trying to catch fish from the bottom of the lighthouse. They hadn't caught anything but it is a good place for mackerel at times.

They have started fixing the pier after it collapsed at the start of the year, I hope they make it look as nice as it used to. That is why there is a crane at the back of the extra shot.
We are all getting back into routine again at the end of the summer and actually I quite like it.
