Monday Blues
Now the Equinox has passed, nothing quite confirms the end-of-summer-blues quite like these lovely faded voilet-blue Agapanthus. The Flower of Love it says on the web, but would it protect you from the hooded claw, or keep the vampires from your door? (or am I mixing things up?)
Totally event-free and work-obsessed day at our house today except at tea-time, when I did stop out of curiosity to record MrsB's valiant attempt at dry-frying and 'popping' some salted Butternut seeds (hey, we go wild at our house on Monday's!). We had kept the seeds back after making a delicious squash soup on Saturday, and it seemed a great idea to try to make a snack from something I guess most people would throw away or compost. A little bit chewy once cooked if I'm honest, but still very tasty. Pumpkin seeds are even better.
It felt rude not to have these with a teeny pre-dinner glass of Prosecco from the little drop left over from yesterday.
