In the Umpqua River

A happy Maggie is taking a bath. We all love this big river. It is not too deep in many places and the water is very pleasant. This was near Elkton.

Thank you for your kind comments, stars and heart for yesterdays picture. I notice that we really have a nice summer with typical summer activities.
The town is filling up with tourists who come for the eclipse next monday. It is amazing, the frenzy that is going on about it. I have seen several in my life but never has it be published by the media like now. All the Campgrounds, all hotelrooms are full.
A kitchen day that is waiting for me tomorrow. As we brought home lots of tomatoes and other veggies from the organic gardens in Elkton, I will make many glasses of pomorola sauce. Found the recipe in "A house in Tuscany", it is easy and gives a hint of summer whenever you open a glass during fall and winter.
