Vintage Farm
Backblip.
Well we made it across to Barrow-in-Furness on Wednesday afternoon - a three hour drive and we arrived just after the start of evening visiting at the hospital. Mother in law appeared to be very frail and hardly able to speak. Our son and daughter had arrived shortly before us.
We stayed overnight at the holiday apartment where MIL had been staying with Mrs madwill's sister and her husband , our son and daughter in a B&B near Barrow.
We all met up for breakfast in Grange-over-Sands - just 5 minutes from the apartment. The nafter a wander along the promenade we visited this 'Vintage Ice Cream Farm" - we had an ice cream and then headed off to Barrow for some refreshments before going to the hospital again. MIL was still very frail and tired easily, although she was sitting up in a chair rather than in bed. She is finding speech very difficult and frustrating at the moment. Annoyingly she still has not had the MRI scan she needs for a confirmed stroke diagnosis, but it seems from her drooping face that that is what has happened.
Visiting time over too quickly - we set off just after 4 p.m. We went to Doncaster to collect our dog, and then we also took our son and his dog back to Leeds before we came home ourselves. arrived back just before 10:30 p.m.
A tiring and frustrating day. Limited / no wifi or mobile signal whilst away, so I have fallen behind with your journals - although have not had time to do it anyway!
