The Earthquake House, Comrie

This small hut was built in 1875, part of an investigation started in 1839 into the cause of minor earthquakes in the Comrie area. At the time, nothing was known about the cause of earthquakes; the first seismometer was designed for the investigation.

I was out with my walking group, and the weather was grey and wet. I have deliberately left the image rather dark.
