September Challenge - Bread - Ingredients
Day 24 of the September food challenge - Bread
I had a few thoughts about today - taking different meanings of bread - particularly when it is used as slang for money, in the end I didn't have enough time to get something suitable together that incorporated both money and bread (the reverse of a £5 note and some bread for "Fryed bread"**, some money and some dough - for "Dough", a pigeon in a Lieutenant's uniform for Mouldy Old Dough). Perhaps it's a good thing.
So, much simpler, for almost 2 years now I have been baking all my own bread (well putting the ingredients in the machine and pressing start), so to find the 2 primary ingredients for bread in the kitchen cupboard was quite simple.
** For those not in the UK the reverse side of a £5 note carries a picture of Elizabeth Fry, the prison and social reformer.
