Castles in the Sky

This is the Anchor Brewhouse, next to Tower Bridge.

It was still brewing beer (Courage's I think) when I was a kid and we used to call the steps from the street next to it up onto the bridge the smelly steps, because of the aroma wafting from it.

I wanted to live in the tower as a child because it looked like something from a fairy tale or maybe a lighthouse. Both would be nice.

Of course the irony is it has now been converted into luxury flats that I could never hope to afford. Oh well, I can drink beer in the Anchor Tap pub at it's base instead.

I liked the reflection of the Shard and sky in the glass side.
