Romantic ruins

I took my elderly friend out to lunch at the Cowdray estate café today.
This is a s photo of the Early Tudor manor house which was partially destroyed by fire in 1793.

Extra is the flower I blipped yesterday (thinking it was a Friday!!) It is the unusual flower of my carnivorous plant.
