Wild Winds

Took this through the car window as we returned from Kingsbridge along the seafront between Slapton Ley (freshwater) and Slapton Sands (sea water). Strong, wuthering winds, and even stronger gusts, made it easy to create an image of movement.

Bought three dahlias from Morrisons, yellow and auburn-orange, which I've planted out in our front garden. Feel a bit sorry for them as they probably wonder what's hit them as they are thrown in the deep end of a wind tunnel.

Off to Dartmouth this evening for some live jazz. Not sure where we shall park; the council has - suddenly - removed most of the places available. No buses, of course! Hope we'll get them back after the regatta at the end of the month. As the councillors in question don't live here, chances are they don't care. Feel sorry for all the businesses that go under in the meantime! Rant over!
