Queen Elizabeth Forest Park

Today's the day ..................... for a trompe l'oeil

A walk today in the wonderful Queen Elizabeth Forest Park near Aberfoyle.

There really is something for everyone to enjoy be it the Go Ape  zip wire for the intrepid adventurer - or just a leisurely stroll through the trees to the waterfall.  There are trails to follow with quizzes and clues along the way.  There are lots and lots of amusements for children of all ages to put their minds to - and plenty of plants and wildlife for everyone to enjoy.

This was a very strange and clever trick among the trees - life-size mirror shapes of people which reflected the trees around them.  It messed with your brain seriously!  The effect was a bit like the creature in the film 'Predator'.  The extra is just Will and a larger than life statue commemorating the Women's Forestry Corps which did valuable work during the 2nd World War.

Lots of fun for everyone ......................
