A rainy day

No need to water the garden today, as it has been a day of sunshine and heavy showers.

We have just come back from my sisters, where we had a belated anniversary treat. 
 Started with kir royal.
 Followed by a delicious afternoon tea of assorted finger sandwiches. ( smoked salmon and cream cheese, prawn mayonnaise, egg and cress, and ham),  scones, jam and cream, followed by assorted cakes ( fruit loaf, chocolate brownies, iced buns) followed by lemon posset and shortcake biscuits, and numerous cups of tea.
Lasted an hour or so! Then spent a few hours chatting and before you know it it is 7.30pm. 
What an enjoyable afternoon.
Won't want anything else to eat tonight!

I think this is the last of our Golden Wedding celebrations.
