Sea holly or seaside eryngo

Oft blipped in my leafy glade, as Shakespeare didn't say. However Falstaff does mention them.  In Elizabethan times they were believed to be a strong aphrodisiac. I'm not sure what you are supposed to do with them, with those sharp prickles.
